Job duties: The Senior LiDAR Systems Engineer position will Lead end-to-end system-level validation of LiDAR modules for autonomous vehicles through sample loops and qualification gates. Perform robotic system, functional, and parametric evaluation in bench, hardware-in-the-loop, and environmental test environments. Process and interpret sensor data. Review engineering requirements, derive test specifications, develop test plans, design test environments and test cases aligned with performance and safety-critical regulations. Develop and maintain sensor test fixtures, data acquisition flows, and sensor test infrastructure. Manage sensor test campaigns, executions and runs according to schedule. Troubleshoot complex LiDAR hardware and firmware issues, bugs and failures, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate corrective actions. Interface with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure design intent is met and systemic issues are closed. Maintain documentation, sensor test reports, and MLC-readiness packages. Develop Python-based data analysis tools and automation libraries for LiDAR health data processing, point cloud performance evaluation and automated reporting. Present plans and results at cross functional hardware development gates to senior leadership.
